Sustainable Transportation

Transportation is currently Ontario's greatest contributor to greenhouse gas pollution accounting for over a third of total greehouse gas emissions; of that third, 70% comes from cars and trucks.

Did you know that Ontario is showing its support for electric vehicles (EVs) by offering up to $1,000 to help you purchase and install charging stations for home or business use? Find out whether you're eligible and how to apply for a rebate.

Ontario also has an incentive to purchase electric or electric/hybrid vehicles. Find out how much you can save by switching to a energy efficient vehicle.

Sustainable Transport is sometimes known as GreenTransport and it is any form of transport that does not use or rely on dwindling natural resources. Instead it relies on renewable or regenerated energy rather than fossil fuels that have a finite life expectancy. (www.earthtimes.org/encyclopaedia/environmental-issues/sustainable-transport/)
